CONFLICT RESOLUTION TECHNIQUES FOR PEACE & SELF TRANSFORMATION

In today's world violence - either physical or psychological due to conflict escalation is common occurrence in family, community, organisation. The conflict often may be unrecognised or suppressed because the general attitudes towards conflict are : conflict is NEGATIVE; DESTRUCTIVE; BAD; SIGN OF DISUNITY. A FIGHT AND ONE PERSON  ONLY CAN WIN IN ANY CONFLICT etc.

Unfortunately, turning blind eye to conflict does not resolve it. On the other hand, conflict is escalated and sooner or later erupt with greater intensity - manifests in violence.

An appropriate response to conflict (the store house of energy) can deviate its flow towards creativity, artistry and empowerment.

This 15 day training provides space for exploring one's mindset (as an individual & organisation) in responding to conflict situation; to discover experientially many responses to conflict and consequence of different responses.

Conflict and its manifested issues like stress, pressure, power struggle, lack of motivation etc. which emerges in the training is responded to. The focus is on every experiences in particular conflict as an opportunity for energising oneself and learning. This shift (in the way one views life) initiates a process of change. Only when one undergoes this process and is aware of it, can one spread it to others. It is not speech but action and experience that vibrate. Hence the participants are enabled to become aware of the process of extension of care and concern to oneself and consequently to others.

The training will explore -

* the individual's life pattern at the conscious and subconscious level,

* one's needs, values;

* consequences of fulfilling the needs and of standing for the values;

* self acceptance and self growth.

This training also will enable the participants to identify one's own style of conflict resolution and learn techniques to respond to conflict appropriately.

Directors and senior members of Non Govt. organisation, Donor agencies, HRD trainers, managerial staff members of Public/corporate sectors, individuals affected by stress, anxiety and high reactions, leaders of Trade Unions, Priests, Nuns, Pastors of church, leaders of Hindu/Muslim and other religion leaders of conflict groups.

RESOURCE PERSONS :

Mr. G. John assisted by the HRD consultants of thread, HRD institute, siddharth village has sixteen years of experience in conducting experiential training. His work has resulted in attitudinal changes, introspection and identification of blocks impeding personal growth and organisational functioning. Presently involved in self transformation training for South Asian Countries and healing work, he has vast experience in training many religious and social organisations.

Having gained the knowledge on conflict resolution techniques in Birmingham, U.K. he has evolved intensive self transformative methods of learning (based on Gurukhul learning techniques) for groups and organisations.
