At the last Bangalore Platform meeting held at CED in May, there have been suggestions for a better understanding of the Platform perspective of the science, policy and ethical issues of Climate Change -

       - focus on Bangalore: public education and action on climate change impacts and adaptation – sector by sector - transportation, construction, water, power, industry, etc; and as a capital city, its impacts on the State as a whole

       - apply the same principles of equity we defend in international negotiations, and develop principles and policies for domestic equity - a sense of fair, moral responsibility of Bangalore - consumption, equity and policy issues; and

       - the application of mitigation / adaptation practices, personal practice, as well as focusing on policy changes. The next Platform meetings will focus on these issues. To start with, this month, we will have two presentations.

About subsequent meetings, and concrete activities we can take up, we will finalise these at the end of the next meeting.
