RED SEAT COVERS!

First what's with the red covers? Someone remarked "CED is asserting its colours". We have fixed the chairs and stools so that the springs no longer poke you, and you now have two inches of padding!!

In order to encourage reference, CED involves students with free reference on topics designated by CED as "happy" topics. Another way is to give a cash incentive on the best assignments. The two topics, for which CED is offering free reference are:

CED has instituted ten scholarships for the ten best assignments done by undergraduate students as part of their course in the year 2004-2005.

DOSSIERS ON CITY ISSUES

As part of a project with Bombay Community Public Trust, CED has compiled eight dossiers on different issues relating to Bombay. The purpose of the collection is to provide teachers and students background and perspective information as well as bibliographies on issues like Booming Bombay, Hawkers, Urbanisation.

Other topics that have been covered ? Urban Poverty, Slums, Housing, Civic Amenities, Transport, Urban Environment and Privitisation.
